Building Muscle Mass is Easier Than You Think
Okay, building muscle mass isn’t easy, but many people make it harder than it really is. They
go out and buy all kinds of expensive supplements that they really don’t need, worry compulsively and end up
quitting before they see any real, tangible results.
In this article, we’re not going to talk about building muscle mass through specific exercises. We’re not going
to talk about your nutritional requirements either. What we are going to discuss is ways that you can motivate
yourself, feel good about your results and stick to your program. After all, if you quit, you’ll never build the
muscle mass that you want so badly.
Keep a Journal
Keeping a journal will help you keep track of your progress. You should track what you do during each workout,
your measurements and your total progress. That way, whenever you feel down, you can look back and see how great
you’re really doing. Plus, keeping track of your workouts is essential to building muscle mass because you need to
keep increasing how much you’re doing so that your body will keep on creating new muscle tissue.
Keep a Diet Journal
A diet journal is very, very important. Our bodies are all different. For one person, eating 3000 calories will
be enough to put on new muscle growth, while someone else may have to consume 4500 calories or more. A diet journal
will help you track your progress and fiddle with your diet when you hit that muscle mass wall.
Find a Workout Partner
Some people like to work out alone - if that’s what works for you, all the power to you. However, if you’re
someone who finds working out boring, try to find a partner who has about the same physical fitness level as
yourself. They can act as a motivator when you don’t feel like working out, and you can both keep track of your
gains together.
Make Workout Time Your Time
Building muscle mass means consistent effort. Instead of thinking of your workout sessions as a chore, try
thinking about it as your personal time. Put on some energetic music, contemplate your day or follow up each
workout with a nice, hot bath or something. If you enjoy your workout time, building muscle mass becomes easier and
more enjoyable.
Building muscle mass and working out doesn’t have to be as hard as you may think. Enjoy yourself and feel good
with in the knowledge that you’re not only going to build muscle mass, but
build a better, healthier you.
